After 78 Years, The Sumter Iris Festival Continues to Showcase Nature’s Stunning Beauty

People from all over the world come to Sumter for the Sumter Iris Festival. It's amazing to think that what is now a beautiful garden and wildlife habitat was once a landfill for early 1900's Sumterites.

Ranked as one of the top festivals in the South East, Sumter’s Iris Festival is also South Carolina’s oldest continuous festival.
Come to the world famous Swan Lake Iris Gardens for the beautiful flowers, and stay for the tasty eats, fantastic crafts, and even a classic car show.
The Sumter Iris Festival is held annually on Memorial Day Weekend.

Thursday 6 p.m. – 9 p.m.
Friday & Saturday 10 a.m. – 6 p.m.
Sunday 10 a.m. – 5 p.m.

There will be live music and demonstrations. Also, new this year, The Southern Sportsman’s Expo with a mechanical bull, 30′ rock climbing wall, food vendors, and more.
