Toucan Tuesdays take flight at Riverbanks Zoo starting June 12!

The Riverbanks Zoo is bringing back its “buy one, get one free” zoo tickets campaign for you and the Harvest Hope Food Bank for its eighth year with their Toucan Tuesdays promotion!

Running from June 12 through August 14, if you bring two canned foods to donate with you to the zoo, general admission tickets are “buy one, get one free!” To commemorate the campaign’s return, special activities for children will be taking place from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m. on June 12 like photos with zoo mascots and a tour of Richland County EMS vehicles.

The zoo claims that guests brought in 4,500 pounds of food in 2017 and have contributed 36,000 pounds since 2010, when the partnership began.

Guests that donate canned goods will also receive discount coupons towards beverages and a 2-for-$20 deal on misting fans to beat the heat! You can donate every Tuesday during the campaign!

This can be a great way to see all of the newborn animals at the zoo like the new baby gorilla, the new lion cubs, the new giraffe calf, or the new baby koala!
