There's a lot to do in Columbia, but if you're ready to slow down, pack up the car and head up to Chattooga Belle Farm in Long Creek. You won't be disappointed.
Every one of us, every day, enjoys a product that begins its life somewhere on a farm.
Rarely do we get the opportunity to set foot on one of these farms. This farm, however, you’re going to want to see for yourself.
We’ll let Ed Land, owner of Chattooga Belle Farm, give you the tour in the video above. Here’s what you need to know when you make your visit.
Arrive early, there’s a lot to do and see.
Pick up some baskets at the farm store and hit the fields.
Pick your own blueberries, raspberries, peaches, grapes and more.
Grab some lunch at Belle’s Bistro. Don’t forget to try some of Chattooga Belle’s wines, all made with ingredients from the farm.
Do some shopping at the Chattooga Belle Farm Store, a great place to pick up all sorts of local, made in SC food, crafts. and other goodies.
Head down to the Back-Door Store, Chattooga Belle’s own distillery, where you can sample and purchase some of Ed’s fantastic liquor.
Make sure you ask about Elvis, the fighting rooster saved by a bizarre twist of fate (and a mix-up at the post office).
Finally, if you fall in love with the view just outside the bistro and farm store (and you will) you can book the building for weddings and large events.
You just can’t go wrong spending the day at Chattooga Belle Farm.
