The Columbia Design League, an affiliate group of the Columbia Museum of Art, presents another installment of the popular Dinner by Design.
The dinner will be held on Sunday, May 20 at the Columbia Museum of Art at 6 p.m.
Dinner guests will be treated to a one-of-a-kind design and dining experience inside the Columbia Museum of Art complete with a mid-century dinner. They will also have a chance to preview never-before-seen pieces that will be displayed in the museum’s new design gallery, currently under construction.
The evening will begin with a signature cocktail by Josh Streetman of Motor Supply. The main course, created by Spotted Salamander, will feature an haute cuisine re-interpretation of an American classic “TV dinner” with wine pairings.
During dinner, CMA curator Cather
ine Walworth will introduce the forthcoming design gallery and donors will preview several signature items they have donated to begin the museum’s new design collection.
Walworth has spearheaded the effort to bring a design gallery to the Columbia Museum of Art
Tickets are currently available online. They cost $65 per ticket for current CDL members or $75 per ticket for nonmembers.
