Freddy’s Frozen Custard & Steakburgers is a fan-favorite in the Midlands – and it now has a third location which opened Tuesday, July 17.
The next location just broke ground at 10611 Broad River Road in Irmo. The popular retro-style concept has two other area restaurants, one at 457 Killian Rd. in Columbia, and another at 2879 Sunset Blvd. in West Columbia.
“The feedback that we have received from our first two area sites has been extremely positive, so we look forward to bringing Freddy’s closer to guests in the Ballentine/Irmo,” said Brett Rickert, franchise owner. “Our proximity to I-26 makes us a convenient lunch or dinner spot for guests driving to and from Columbia.”
The 3,010 square-foot and freestanding restaurant will seat 96 guests and will have additional seating on the patio. Drive-thru service will also be available. Freddy’s is known for its lean ground beef steakburgers, Vienna Beef hot dogs and shoestring fries, as well as dessert treats prepared with a choice of chocolate or vanilla frozen custard that is churned fresh throughout the day.
“A consistent dining experience will always remain one of our top priorities,” Rickert said. “We know that many of our guests have standard orders, so our team strives to make sure that no matter what part of the city you are in, you can count on your Freddy’s favorites to deliver the same great taste.”
Today, 292 Freddy’s restaurants serve a total of 31 states across the map from California to Pennsylvania, Virginia and down the east coast states to Florida. In 2017, Freddy’s has been named for the fourth year in a row as one of the top 10 on Franchise Times magazine’s Fast & Serious list.
In 2016, Freddy’s was recognized as one of Entrepreneur Magazine’s Franchise 500® and included on Inc. Magazine’s 500/5000 list of “Fastest-Growing Private Companies” (both, for the fifth consecutive year).
