Indie Grits has been bringing the best independent, out-of-the-box films with a Southern connection for over a decade.  The festival now includes music, art and a plethora of other cultural exhibits.

Indie Grits Visiones in diving into the expanding Latino population and the influence they have on the Southeastern Unites states through art, film and other events.


Thursday, April 20:  Noche de Visiones, The festival’s free opening night block party featuring Lambchop and Curtis Harding live on the 1600 block of Main Street.

   Thursday, April 20:  Visiones artistic cohort premier, Latinx artists unveil performances, installations, and exhibitions all over Main Street. A new mural at the corner of Assembly and Taylor, too.

    April 22.  Food Truck Parranda, Saturday,  The best Latin American food trucks and carts in Columbia and beyond (think pupusas, arepas, and tacos, too) come together at this family-friendly event to offer an authentic taste of Latin America and live music on Hampton Street between Richland Library and St. Peter’s Catholic Church.

    Film: More than 80 films will screen at Indie Grits, including many films by Latinx filmmakers. Films will screen throughout the festival at the Nick at 1607 Main St.
