Pharrell and his From One Hand to Another Foundation (FOHTA) has selected the Richland One school district to host their STEAMM (science, technology, engineering, arts, math, and motivation) Summer Camp site.

The free camp will be held June 18 – July 26, from 9 AM – 2 PM Mondays through Thursdays at W.A. Perry Middle School. Campers will do science experiments, learn computer programming skills, financial literacy, dance, art, yoga, and a foreign language as well as what it takes to be an entrepreneur and dream mapping.  Campers will also be provided with breakfast and lunch.

All Richland One middle schoolers are eligible to attend the camp, including rising sixth graders and ninth graders. Again the camp is free but there are only 50 slots available and registration is on a first-come, first served basis.

Registration is open now and can be completed online by clicking HERE.

“From One Hand To AnOTHER was founded by Williams in 2008 because he believed that all children could be successful if only they had the right tools and opportunities to broaden their education. He created the STEAMM camps to bring children experiences that ignite their passions, challenge their minds and prepare them for success by exposing them to different technologies, arts, and resources. The artist will have similar camps in Virginia, Florida, Arizona, California and New York.”

No word yet on if Mr. Williams will be present at the camp.
