It’s Oyster Roast Season across the Midlands. Find One Near You.

With as many different types and flavors as there are ways to prepare them, oysters are one of our favorite ocean delicacies. Over the next couple of months, the Midlands will be hosting several Oyster Roast. If you or a someone you know is having an Oyster GTG, let us know, we can add them to the list.

Greater Lexington Chamber Spring Oyster Roast

The Lake House at Lake Carolina is hosting its 14th annual oyster roast. Enjoy the view, listen to the live entertainment and snack on other goodies (besides the oysters) provided by Capitol City Catering. Pulled pork BBQ, chili, chicken, and gumbo are on the menu this year. Gloves and knives will be provided for shucking, but guests are encouraged to bring their own. Outside coolers are allowed for this event, which is BYOB, so don’t forget to stock up on your favorite brews and cocktails. Tickets are $40 for adults, children under 12 are $5 and the little tykes ages 3 and under get in free.

Richland County Sheriff's Foundation Inaugural Oyster Roast & Pig Pickin'

Come join the fun at the first ever Richland County Sheriff’s Foundation Inaugural Oyster Roast & Pig Pickin’. There will be oysters, barbeque, alcohol and other delicious treats sure to tickle your taste buds.  The Blue Dogs will provide live entertainment. Festivities last from 1-5p.m. on March 3. Tickets are $55 and sponsorships spots are available.

Kalmia Gardens of Coker College Oyster Roast

Kalmia Gardens of Coker College located in Hartsville, S.C. is throwing their annual oyster roast this year on St. Patrick’s Day, March 17. Come part on the antebellum porch filled with mountains of oyster, craft beer, wine, live music, and other tasty treats. Built in 1820, the house is surrounded by lush forest, miles of hiking trails, ponds and Black Creek runs through the property. Tickets are $45 and must be purchased in advance. Tickets will not be sold at the gate.

Oyster Roast for St. Lawrence Place
