Yonder Field – the spacious outdoor venue in Bowman – is hosting Movies Rock!” a drive-in movie experience starting the weekend of Aug. 18.
In partnership with Highway 21 Drive In, the drive-in will run through the holidays and play every Friday or Saturday evenings – except when other events, concerts or festivals are scheduled.
“We are so excited that Orangeburg County will have its very own Drive-In Movie Theater,” said President/General Manager, Stacie Darr White. “Our fantastic partners are Joe Barth and Martin Murray who own Highway 21 Drive-In in Beaufort, SC.
The schedule for each Friday and Saturday is as follows:
6:30 p.m. Gates open to cars
7 p.m. -8:30 p.m. Music/Food/Games
8:45pm-11pm Movie begins (1 screen until September, then 3 screens)

Starting in September, there will be two adult movies (Rated PG-13 or R) – one with lawn seating only (where VIP Premium Seating that includes outdoor couches and table service) and the other with lawn seating and car viewing behind.
The third movie will be family-friendly (Rated G/PG) and will have lawn seating with car viewing behind. Beer and wine sales will be available but will not be sold (or can be consumed) at the family-friendly movie.
The bands that will kick-off the first weekend will be Southbound 17 on Friday, Aug. 18 and Pinkerton and the Brinks on Saturday, Aug. 19.
