It’s that time of the year again – the South Carolina State Fair is right around the corner!
Admission tickets, ride vouchers and concert tickets for this year’s South Carolina State Fair went on sale Wednesday, Sept. 5. Discount admission tickets and ride vouchers are available through Oct. 9 at scstatefair.org, participating Circle K stores, and the fair’s Early Bird Ticket Window at 1200 Rosewood Drive. The fair also has launched its mobile ticket booth, FRED, which offers an additional way to secure discount admission and ride tickets. The ticket booth on wheels will be at various retail locations across the Midlands through Oct. 9. For a list of locations and dates, visit findfred.org.
Discount admission tickets are $7 ($10 during the fair), and discount ride vouchers are $25 ($30 during the fair and $35 on weekends on grounds).
Ride vouchers can be exchanged for a Pay-One-Price wristband for unlimited rides any one day of the fair. Vouchers also may be exchanged for 30 ride coupons any day of the fair.
Tickets for the six paid musical acts in this year’s Pepsi Grandstand concert series also go on sale Wednesday, Sept. 5 and can be purchased at scstatefair.org and the Early Bird Ticket Window. Concert tickets range from $15 to $20 and include fair admission.
This year’s paid shows include Scotty McCreery Oct. 11, Bret Michaels Oct. 12, Trace Adkins Oct. 15, Fantasia Oct. 16, The Temptations & The Four Tops Oct. 17, and Jeremy Camp & Matthew West Oct. 19. This year’s Pepsi Grandstand lineup also includes two free shows with fair admission: Tokyo Joe (Rocketman – Tribute to Elton John) Oct. 10 and La Poderosa Banda San Juan Oct 14.
The 2018 South Carolina State Fair runs Oct. 10-21 at the fairgrounds at Rosewood Drive and George Rogers Boulevard.
