Make Music Columbia will be returning to the capital city this summer on June 21 for the fifth year in a row.

During the Summer Solstice, Columbia and 80 chapters worldwide encourage people of all ages and skill levels to come together and make music. The event is free and performed outdoors by anyone who wants to participate.

One Columbia for Arts and History, Rice Music House, The Koger Center for the Arts, The Columbia Museum of Art, and The City of Columbia Riverfront Park invite everyone from professional musicians to people who have never picked up an instrument to join in and create music on streets, sidewalks, porches, plazas, parks, gardens, storefronts and other public spaces on the longest day of the year.

A full schedule of events will be available before June 21 at makemusiccolumbia.org. Venues or performers interested in participating can register at matchcolumbia.makemusicday.org
